Phuket PAO holds English language development project On June 15th 2013 at the audiovisual room of Satree Phuket School, Advisor of PPAO – Mr.Boonserm Suwanrattaphoom together with PPAO staff attended a project entitled ‘The potential development of the English language of teachers and administrators in Phuket – English language teaching for communication in the classroom’. The project, held on 15th – 16th June 2013, was organized by Phuket Provincial Administration Organization (PPAO) with the cooperation of Sukhothai Thammathirat University.

The project aims at improving the English communication “potential” of the province’s teachers and administrators, and at developing the potential of teacher to have the necessary skills and language ability of at least two languages. The training provided in the project includes “English language teaching for communication in the classroom”, “Overview theory English language teaching” and “Communication Approach VS Natural Approach”. Activities included a training workshop for English Communication in the Classroom which focused on (1) The Beginning of the lesson, (2) Different stages of the lesson: Beginning and talking about the lesson, (3 Different stages of the lesson: Defining Aims and Giving Example and (4) Physical Conditions in the Classroom.

Four Distinguished Designers will collaborate collections on the runway at Phuket’s Hottest Fashion Show “Black is Back” to be held at Da Vinci’s Restaurant in Nai Harn, Phuket this November. Noelle Adam & Sahs- Iko both based in Phuket will be debuting Spring/Summer 2011 collections and Phathanun Poositsuvapong (Prumm) along with the Accademia Italiana Fashion and Design Institute will be showcasing “high fashion” cutting edge designs when they fly in from Bangkok especially for the show.

The show will raise money for two commendable local Phuket Charities, The Life Home Project Foundation (A Home for HIV/AIDS Women and Their Children in Thailand – and Sunshine Village Yacht Association. Sponsors, Da Vinci Restaurant, 91.5fm Phuket Radio, Wine Connection, Movenpick, Absolute Vodka, ITree, Luxury Events Phuket, Charlie Lighting and the Make Up Store are donating their time, products and services in many ways to help catapult the events success.

Phuket’s top models will be dazzled and dressed by leading Make-Up Artist Lisa Allen who is also coordinating the show with super model Emma De Ferag and local photographer Gina Smith. To catch up on all the latest backstage gossip you can find the girls on Facebook Group “Phuket Fashion Scene”

The first runway show will start at 6:30pm; guests to arrive at 6:00pm and tickets are priced at 2,000 THB and 2,500 THB (VIP front row) available at Da Vinci Restaurant – Nai Harn, Wine Connection – Chalong or call Emma on 0824129379 to reserve. Ticket price includes two cocktails supplied by Absolute Vodka, two glasses of wine supplied by Wine Connection, Ice Cream supplied by Movenpick and Italian buffet supplied by Da Vinci.
