Stiebel Eltron heads south to expand business channels

Phuket, Thailand, 13 September 2017 – Mr. Roland Hoehn and Mr. Panlob Chieochanwittayawet held a press conference at Amari Phuket to bring Phuket media through the growing business in the southern market, the fastest-growing region in Thailand. Additionally, he also highlight Stiebel Eltron’s CSR initiative in the south to support Tor Chor Dor (Thailand’s Border Patrol Police) Ratchapitak School in Surat Thani province which was hit by flood early this year.

Stiebel Eltron, Thailand’s leading manufacturer of water heaters, water filters and hand dryers, is looking to the south of Thailand as a strategy to increase new sales channels.

Outside of Bangkok, the southern market has shown great business potential from both the hospitality and property sector. Tourism continues to increase so business development opportunities arise for Stiebel Eltron with every hotel and building.

Stiebel Eltron continues to expand its business outside of Bangkok and one of their strongest regions outside of the Bangkok metropolitan area is the south of Thailand with accounts for 16% of total sales. Over 32% of the sales outside of Bangkok metropolitan are in the south with Phuket dominating 30 per cent of the total regional sales.

We are focusing efforts on supporting this growth by improving our network of marketing and sales channels. ONYX Hospitality Group announces the promotions of Pierre-Andre Pelletier and David Cumming as part of continued regional expansion

Phuket, 3 August 2017 – As part of its continued expansion across the Asia-Pacific, ONYX Hospitality Group has announced two senior promotions with Pierre-Andre Pelletier named Regional Vice President of Operations for South Thailand, Vietnam and the Maldives; and David Cumming named Regional Vice President of Operations for Bangkok, Malaysia and Laos.

Previously the Vice President and Area General Manager for South Thailand, Pierre-Andre takes on added leadership responsibilities in the Maldives and Vietnam. ONYX currently operates Amari Havodda Maldives and is preparing for the early 2018 opening of OZO Hoi An. The company is in active negotiations with partners on potential new developments in both destinations.

Hailing from a family of hoteliers and restaurateurs, Switzerland-born Pierre-Andre joined the company in 1993. He has served as General Manager of Amari Pattaya, Amari Watergate Bangkok and more recently, the group’s flagship Amari Phuket, where he will continue to be based.

David is elevated from his previous role as Vice President and Area General Manager for Bangkok. In his expanded role, David will support the company’s future growth in Malaysia, where ONYX has one newly-launched Amari and three additional hotels in the pipeline, and Laos, the location of three new Amari properties currently under development.

A 25-year veteran in hospitality, David has been with the company since 2004 and has been General Manager at both Amari Pattaya and Amari Watergate Bangkok. He also held a corporate leadership role as Vice President of Operational Development at ONYX Hospitality Group, providing his wealth of industry expertise to new hotel openings. David will continue to be based at Amari Watergate Bangkok, location of the group’s global head office.

Amari enters Sri Lanka with the opening of a new beachfront resort in Galle

ONYX Hospitality Group Enters Next Phase of Regional Growth

Prior to joining ONYX Hospitality Group as Chief Operating Officer in 2014, Mr Martell spent 13 years at InterContinental Hotels Group, where he held senior leadership roles in Australia, China and Japan, before being appointed IHG’s Vice President of Operations for Southwest Asia based in India.
