Following the two sell-out shows of Great Wines of Italy in Hong Kong and Bangkok early December 2016, James Suckling will bring his successful event for a “Limited Edition” to Phuket’s iconic The Nai Harn Resort. 20 of the top Italian wine producers and winemakers of
world-renowned estates will personally be present at the event.

Amari and Chulalongkorn University raise awareness on e-waste disposal

Bangkok, Thailand, 26 November 2016 – Amari representatives led by Mr. David Cumming (third from right), Vice President & Area General Manager, Bangkok, ONYX Hospitality Group, hand over e-waste products collected from hotel staff and their families to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutha Khaodhiar (third from left), Director of Chulalongkorn University’s Center of Excellence on Hazardous Substance Management (HSM), as part of the “Amari & Chula Love Earth” Campaign.  All of the e-waste collected will be professionally managed by TES-AMM Thailand, a specialistin technology deployment, recovery, remarketing,and recycling.

A joint campaign between Amari hotels and resorts across Thailand and Chulalongkorn University’s Center of Excellence on Hazardous Substance Management, “Amari & Chula Love Earth” aims atraising public awareness on the importance of proper disposal and recycling of electronic waste such as old digital cameras, notebooks, mobile phones, batteries and chargers.

The campaign also includes educational sessions in Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Samui, Krabi and Phuket by HSM for hotel staff, on the detrimental impact to human health and the environmentresulting from improper disposal and handling of e-waste.

Chef Stefano Baiocco visits Sri panwa for a week of modern Italian culinary delight

A guest chef dinner featuring an eight-course menu, Italian wine pairing and cocktails.

Calling all Italian food lovers: when bringing together the most desirable luxury estate – a place to see and to be seen in Phuket and a visiting chef from Italy cooking with special imported Italian ingredients with fresh local finds, the result is sure to be an unforgettable event. This December, Executive Chef Stefano Baiocco, from the Villa Feltrinelli, Gargnano, Lake Garda – Italy, will prepare a seven-day event of Italian culinary extravaganza at Sri panwa, Phuket.

Wan – Vorasit Issara, owner & MD together with  Suki – Yu Po Yan, Hotel Manager of Sri panwa, they both did their hotel training at Villa Felrinelli, the very traditional countryside estate hotel owned and operated by legendary hotelier Robert H. Burns, Grand Hotel a Villa Feltrinelli (Lake Garda, the oldest and most prestigious hotels in Italy). Chef Stefano was also their ex-boss during the internship. Mr. Burns, founder of Regent International Hotels, and founder and developer of Grand Hotel a Villa Feltrinelli, Gargnano, Italy, is a legendary figure of the hotel industry famed for setting new benchmarks in luxury hospitality.

Event Details: The seven-day event of modern Italian culinary where guests enjoy cocktails and small bites prior to experiencing the eight-course tasting menu.

The Menu: Chef Stefano presents Modern Italian culinary delights created from the finest imported ingredients and the fresh local delicacies of Phuket. The eight-course tasting menu includes 2 starters, 2 pasta/risotto dishes, 1 fish dish, 1 meat dish and 2 deserts.
