Phuket PAO donates to Vegetarian Festival 2014As part of its continued support for the local culture and traditions, on Friday September 19th 2014, PPAO visited various shrines around Phuket to donate rice and cooking oil for use in the upcoming Vegetarian Festival which is taking place from September 24 – October 2, 2014.

Led by Council Chairman – Pradit Saengchan, who was accompanied by Council Members – Prasit Sinsaowapak, Theera Jiasakul, Kantapat Pisitkunanon and Supreya Iam-wiwattanakul, the team donated a total of 320 sacks of rice and 95 large cans of cooking oil to the following shrines: Lim Hu Taisu (Samkong), Yok Ke Keng (Soi Paniang), Jen Hong (in front of Vachira Hospital), Sam se Ju Hood (Rang Hill), Sui Boon Tong (Lor Rong), Jui Tui Tao Bo Keng, Bang Neo Tao Bo Keng, Jo su Kong (Naka), Te Kun (Nabon), Kew Ong Tai Te (Rawai), and Lai Tu Tao Bo Keng (Kathu).

Phuket PAO donates to Vegetarian Festival 2014For this year’s festival, PPAO has planned to donate a grand total of 650 sacks of rice and 190 cans of cooking oil. The next donation round will take place on September 22, where 330 sacks of rice and 95 cans of cooking oil will be donated to the following shrines: Sam Pai Kong (Ban Bang Ku), Sam Ong Hu (Cherng Talay), Te Kun Tai Te (Pa Sak), Kim Sue Ong Keng (Ban Don), Ngor Hian Tai Te (Ban Kian) Bu Seng Tong (behind Ban Kian fresh market), Mai Khao Vegetarian Hall (Mai Khao SAO), Muang Mai, Bu Tong San Keng (Pa Krong Cheep), Ton Sai Waterfall Shrine, Ban Ta Reua, and Kuan Te Kun (Sapam).
