Phuketindex.com has a very special interview with Paritchawan Kraiponrak, Sales & Public Manager at Twinplams Phuket Resort.
Phuketindex.com: Tell us about your background
Paritchawan: I have worked in hotel business since 1998 as a financial controller assistant of Novotel Phuket Resort. After that I got an internship 6 months about food and beverages field at Netherlands, then worked as food & beverage director assistant at Banyan Tree Phuket. Working as a resort host was my interesting task because I prefer an operation job more than an administrative job. After 5 years at Banyan Tree, I moved to a retail company for 3 years and back again in a hotel field as a present job.
Phuketindex.com: What is your main job description?
Paritchawan: Room sale and achieve the approved marketing plans which are brainstorming from a management team. Actually, I am a part of those ideas, forecast the future trends and decide the way of our position, should we follow the trends or stay on our own stage.
Phuketindex.com: With the current financial crisis, how does it affect Twinplams?
Paritchawan: As our great planning at the beginning, we really ensure about that, we do room sales by ourselves, not exactly turn to travel agents in any season. And we believe in local people loyalty first by doing membership, they often visit our dining rooms and stay a night or more days in a hotel. The lately market targets are expanding to Thai people around Bangkok, we do more participation in Tourism Thailand events to support our market segment. We accept over a year booking to predict our occupancy as an advance marketing.
Phuketindex.com thanks Paritchawan Kraiponrak for her time and interesting conversation.
