The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa is pleased to announce that Mr. David Campbell has been appointed as the hotel’s new General Manager as of September 1, 2021.
After beginning his career in 1997 as a cook in Toronto, Canada David has travelled the globe taking on progressive rolls such as Chef de Cuisine at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in 2010, Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Park Hyatt Beijing in 2013, Director of Food and Beverage at Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Center in 2015 and Hotel Manager at JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok in 2020. David has demonstrated leadership and effective, efficient management in all aspects of the hotel’s operations.
David had the following to say about his new appointment: “The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa has a rich history as a destination authority on the island of Naka Yai offering a uniquely local experience while telling the stories of the area like no other property in Phuket can. I am delighted to have been granted this opportunity to become the hotel’s General Manager. I will be working hard to achieve even higher levels of hospitality, delivering our guests the kind of resort experience that only The Naka Island can offer and building an enduring love for our hotel.”
With his 24-year career in the hospitality industry and extensive knowledge and experience of luxury brands, General Manager David Campbell is a great asset to The Naka Island, a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa which celebrated its thirteenth anniversary in this year.
