Rawai plans to buy golf cars for assisting disabled and elder people to access Promthep Cape

Rawai Municipallity Mayor, Aroon Solos said Promthep Cape is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Phuket. During green season, the place has to welcome at least 1,000 of visitors a day. Not to mention about high season or long holiday that the number of visitors sharply rises. Type and age range of the visitors are different. Some of that are older people or disabled people who can’t easily or cannot walk up and down stairs. Most of them have to wait downstairs.

Therefore to help these people have access to scenic views of Promthep Cape as they wish, Rawai Municipality has a plan to buy 4-5 electric-powered golf carts for 5-8 passengers in the budget year 2010 to service them up and down the hill. The municipality is now during the research about the cars should they buy.
