Phuket’s Jungceylon Unveils ‘PINK A WISH’ Festivities

Jungceylon Shopping Center in Patong, Phuket, dazzles with its ‘PINK A WISH’ celebration, featuring a transformed look, new stores, and exciting year-end promotions.

Phuket Square Company Limited, the manager of Jungceylon Shopping Center in Patong, Phuket, has allocated a budget of more than 10 million baht to transform the shopping center and offer an array of promotions and entertainment activities. These initiatives are designed to warmly welcome both Thai and international tourists as they celebrate the final quarter and high season of 2023 on the vibrant island of Phuket.

Mrs. Tassanee Tepprasertvangsa, Chief Marketing Officer of Phuket Square Company Limited, enthusiastically shared, “This year’s festival of happiness, Jungceylon Christmas & Happy New Year 2024, is held under the captivating theme of ‘PINK A WISH.’ This concept envelops the shopping center in a charming shade of pink, featuring modern graphic floral patterns that exude joy and radiance throughout the premises. A magnificent 12-meter-high pink Christmas tree adorned with flower petals and twinkling lights stands as the centerpiece, alongside numerous pink-themed photo spots to elevate the festive ambiance. The shopping center introduces the ‘Tourist 7 Days Special’ campaign, offering shoppers and tourists exclusive discounts ranging from 10% to 70% at more than 200 participating stores when they spend 1,000 baht or 3,000 baht. Additionally, patrons will receive a Jungceylon Pink Collection souvenir. The celebration continues with captivating stage shows scheduled from November 24th to November 30th, 2023.”

“On December 8th, 2023, we invite everyone to join us for the opening of the 37th annual ‘Phuket Carnival at Patong 2023.’ This year, Jungceylon Shopping Center will participate under the theme of ‘PINK BEACH PARTY,’ featuring a lively pink beach party parade with the Pretty Pink Girls on a yacht, complete with music and spectacular shows. This extravaganza promises to add vibrancy and joy to the experience of tourists from around the world. We anticipate an influx of tourists during the festival, making the atmosphere even livelier for both shoppers and visitors,” added Mrs. Tassanee.

Furthermore, Jungceylon Shopping Center has prepared a series of end-of-year promotions and events to celebrate the Christmas season and welcome the new year. Shoppers will have the chance to win gifts through the Santa Treasure Game and enjoy the “International Santa Claus Show,” which features Santa Clauses from 13 countries, including Thailand, France, and the United States, dressed in their charming national costumes. This captivating show will take place from December 23rd to December 25th, 2023, with performances at 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. Additionally, a special concert on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2023, will feature the talented vocal artist Ekaphan “Pure” Wannasut, the champion from The Voice All Stars. And to end the year with a bang, autobot cosplayers will spread happiness and laughter while taking souvenir photos on December 31st, 2023, and January 1st, 2024.

In 2023, Jungceylon Shopping Center has collaborated with renowned partner brands to introduce numerous new stores, ranging from restaurants to fashion to cosmetics. Some of the exciting additions include MK Gold, Fuji Restaurant, Le’ Siam, Le Paname, Dairy Queen, Au Bon Pain, Wawa Cha, GENTLEWOMAN, VNC, SKECHERS, Superdry, SUUNTO & NOX NOX, American Eagle, Under Armour, Levi’s, Timberland, NaRaYa, BEAUTRIUM, DC, Quicksilver, THANN, TISSOT, NGG Jewelry, and Better Vision.

Moreover, the Garden Zone, known for its international dining and nightlife, continues to expand its offerings with new eateries such as Yayoi, Hachiban Ramen, Wine Connection, ZEN Restaurant, Spice House, Thai Food Factory, Wabi Sabi Japanese Restaurant, The Irish Times Pub, Churrasco, Café 101, and Roxane Café & Restaurant. It has also attracted leading restaurants to open their first branches in the South, including Tim Hortons, TACO BELL, GREYHOUND CAFÉ, and most recently, Pizza Hut in the new Pizza & Bar format, the first in Asia. Mrs. Tassanee concluded by highlighting the evolving customer demographics at Jungceylon Shopping Center, noting that approximately 20% of customers are Thai and expatriates, while the remaining 80% are international tourists. This composition varies with each season, with tourists hailing from Russia, China, Australia, India, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East. To cater to this international visitors, more than 50 marketing events and promotional campaigns are planned for 2024. It is expected that the number of tourists visiting the shopping center will increase to levels similar to those seen in 2019 (pre-Covid), with an estimated 40,000 to 50,000 visitors per day during the high season.
