ThaiOn a hot sunny Saturday, 15 January, I filmed the fantastic show of amazing aerial acrobatics by Hungarian pilot Les Vorosmarthy in his roaring red Extra-300 stunt aircraft and fun flying-low airplane rides for the public by ‘bush’ pilot/explorer/movie co-producer Tom Claytor, at Phuket Airpark’s 2nd anniversary celebration of opening and also just extending its grass runway in Paklok, Thalang.
Footage includes 2 different camera views of the whole acrobatic show and several interviews & comments before and after with Les & Tom, and one of Tom’s passengers, 8 year old Jason, plus a short view inside Tom’s plane before a take off.
It was an exciting experience for all the audience out there and we look forward to more events at Phuket Airpark, including talk of skydiving, ballooning and scenic tours by air. Next time I hope to get up in the air too, to get a new perspective on Phuket down here.
