More than 30 travel buyers from Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, Australia, India, Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia and other parts of Thailand flew into Phuket specifically to talk business with the exhibitors. The three-day event featured cooking competitions, cocktail mixing competitions, coffee demonstrations, wine tastings and fruit and ice carving competitions.

Events Thailand co-director, Simon Samaan, said plans were already underway for next year’s event. “We are definitely here to stay,” he said.
