Satree Phuket School chosen to be hub of international education

11 December 2009 – At the opening ceremony of Satree Phuket Schools 100th Anniversary Celebration on December 9th, 2009, Somkiat Chobpol, the Deputy Secretary-General of OBEC, said Satree Phuket School is during the development to be international education hub under the government’s Thai Khem Khaeng scheme.

Satree Phuket School director Kiattisak Pilawas said they are considering an international standard curricular program to use in school. Hope to receive help from British International School, Phuket, however there will be the discussion between the two parties again on coming December 14th.

The foreseen obstacle for international program teaching is high tuition fees due to the higher expenses. Especially for teachers remuneration that costs about 80,000 up to 100,000 baht.

  • If there is high expenses then there is a high tuition fees. It is normal for business to be like that. Phuket is a popular place so choosing it to be the hub of international education is just right.
