Assoc. Prof. Prapa Kayee, the President of Phuket Rajabhat University commented that the existing government’s educational policy is quite good but now Thailand’s educational system lacks well educated teachers, since people are not interested to be teachers and the early retirement of the existing teachers also causes a lack of teachers problem.
Therefore she wants the government to support the educational and moral curriculums in schools and universities for people who will be teachers. She mentioned that there should be more attractive income and welfare to make clever people be more interested in this career, instead of working as doctors or engineers, because children will not be able to get good education if they don’t have intelligent people to teach them.
