PHUKET, THAILAND “ Thailand’s most exciting holiday and sports venue, the Phuket International Academy Sports and Leisure Club (PIASLC), has launched a series of invigorating summer holiday camps for local and international children scheduled to take place this August.
There will be three camps based at the PIASLC for children aged between 6 and 14. From August 2 to 6 there is a Sports, Arts and Adventure camp with the option of participating in all five days or part thereof. On August 7 and 8 there is an Adventure Weekend camp with children staying overnight and from August 9 to 13 another version of the Sports, Arts and Adventure camp runs again.
PIASLC General Manager, Sean Panton, said the club’s camps give children the opportunity to experience some of the finest facilities in Asia, with instruction from internationally accredited coaches in a range of sports and arts disciplines.
He said the emphasis of these camps is to help children develop their self-esteem, confidence and leadership qualities and instructors will help facilitate and nurture young people, encouraging them to push their boundaries and challenge themselves to greater achievement.
“The various activity sites vary from PIASLC facilities, deserted islands to national parks giving children a true taste and feel for Thailand,” Mr Panton added.
“Our multi-activity camps combine the best of our sports, arts and adventure programmes. Our weekly programme is broken down into different sections with children being able to try out a range of different activities.
“Each day will combine sports, arts and adventure with the opportunity to camp overnight on our adventure weekend.”
Costs for the camps start at THB500 per half day with a full day option which includes a healthy lunch. The Adventure Weekend camp costs THB2,500 which includes accommodation and all meals.
