About the Camp / Event
We offer Kids Camp suitable for ages 3 – 17 years from swimming, tennis, football, triathlon to multi-activity. Guaranteed to get your child fit in a fun and challenging way that they will want to bring a friend along for the next one! Boarding opportunities available for children aged 10 and up.

    Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort will host a Junior Development Program and an Academy Program with our Football Head Coach, supported by PSS.

Steve Wallace holds the Master Coach Diploma, specializing in coaching youth players. Having previously worked in England for Newcastle United of the Premier League, as a national youth development officer in the Caribbean and across the USA in coaching and coach education roles including 7 years for Major League Soccer (MLS) Camps, Steve has 25 years of experience and a unique approach to youth development that players enjoy.

In addition to holding elite licensing, Steve regularly attends high level ongoing education, having in recent years visited top European academies for extended training with Chelsea & Feyenoord, as well as attending FIFA international coaching seminars and just last December, a national coach instructor’s course as a guest of the Malaysian FA.

  • 4-14 years old (If enough kids of other ages are interested, another group may be added)Skills required:
  • The Junior Development Programme (ages 4-8) is open to all, Thanyapura Academy sessions are recommended for players with football experience

MULTI-ACTIVITY CAMP
Experience 17 activity stations situated throughout the boot camp and assault course areas, covering a space of 8,028m². Activities range from zip lining to rope swinging, wall climbing, tire running, water crossing and much more. We track progress through time challenges each session with a trophy for the best warrior. Certificates will be given out to all who complete 11 sessions. Guaranteed to get your child fit in a fun and challenging way – they will want to bring a friend along!

The Swimming Camps for Kids focus on individual goal setting and improving athletic performance.

– Beginner: 3 years old and more (kids must be able to participate in the class without parent involvement in the water). Parent or guardian are advised to assist on the pool deck for toilet breaks or snack breaks only
Intermediate: 6 years old+

  • Skills required for half-day training:

– Beginner: no skills required
– Intermediate: Swim 100m Freestyle with good technique. 50m Backstroke with good technique. 25m Breaststroke with good technique and 15m Butterfly

  • Ages required for full-day training:

– 10-17 years old

  • Skills required for full-day training:

– 10x 100m in a 2-min interval, 50m Free under 40 sec, 50m Back or Fly under 45 sec

  • Camp requirement:

– Campers are required to bring Swimsuit, Cap and goggles, Sportswear and Water bottle

TENNIS CAMP
The Tennis Camps for Kids will place emphasis on developing techniques through a series of drills that run throughout the week. The athletic performance will be assessed and improved with effective and fun fitness tests, and camp goers will gain a better understanding of the game through point situations and match games.

– No required skills. Kids will be separated by their skills

  • Camp requirement:

– Campers are to bring with them a tennis racquet, a change of clothes, tennis shoes (no black soles) and Water bottle.

TRIATHLON CAMP
The Triathlon and Duathlon Camp is designed to introduce kids aged 6 to 12 to the sport of triathlon & duathlon. Experienced triathletes and coaches will provide instruction on basic swimming, cycling and running techniques, bicycle safety and maintenance, transition and nutrition. Duathlon training and racing will be included. A grand finale of a Super Sprint race will be held at the end of the camp at Thanyapura.

  • 6-12 years oldThe camp will culminate with a mini-triathlon and mini-duathlon:
  • 6-9 Age Groups: Swim 100 meters, Bike 5km, Run 1 km. *Duathlon: swim is replaced by a 500m run
  • 10-12 Age Groups: Swim 200 meters, Bike 8km., Run 2km. *Duathlon: swim is replaced by a 500m run

  • Full prepayment requires at time of booking.
  • Full refund (less credit card and transaction fees) if cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to start date.
  • There will be no refund or credit in any circumstance if the cancellation made Less than 14 days prior to starting date.
  • Full charge will be applied for a no-show.
  • Camp schedule is subject to coaches availability.
  • For the Multi-Activity Camp, we do not accept walk-ins. We require advance booking of at least 1 week prior to the starting date.
