Ranked first in the world Brazilian volleyball players will take part in Thailand Open this year

The 4th Phuket Thailand Open powered by PTT which is the last program on the Women’s Beach Volleyball World Tour, will be held on Karon Beach from 3 – 8 November 2009. Offering prize money for US$190,000, the tournament can attract many professional beach volleyball players around the world to come.

Vice Governor Worapoj Rattasima revealed there are 70 leading professional teams from 30 countires enter the tournament including Austrlia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Czech, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, England, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Maxico, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Swizerland, Sweden, Thailand, Ukrain and Vanuatu.

Led by Brazil’s Juliana and Larissa who just won record eighth FIVB title this season, Thai people will be able to watch players from 15 teams of the Top 20 play in Phuket. Further, Canada and USA are expected to join before closing the application.

Thailand as the host country will allocate 2 teams in the main draw and another team will participate in the pre-qualifying rounds.
