The children will follow the Australian National Small Boat Sailing Scheme; Basic Skills 1.
The purpose of the units are to:
- Introduce children to personal and group safety before going afloat
- Provide children with an opportunity to explore the limits of the boat and become familiar with the craft
- Teach children how to rig the boat
- Introduce children to the basics of sailing allowing them to explore the boat controls.
On the 16th January the children who took part in the last sailing session can have an extra sailing practice starting at lunchtime. Please RSVP if you are interested.
Storm, who is an experienced sailor and has taught children sailing at Darwin Sailing Club, will teach the course. She has Australian instructor credentials. There will also be a committee member with a safety boat assisting each morning.
We ask for a donation of 1500 Baht per child for the four weeks or 3000 Baht for non members.Children will need to bring suncream, water bottle, rash shirt, lunch and snacks.
YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR PLACE AS THEE SESSIONS ARE LIMITED TO 5 CHILDREN.
