Ex Phuket FC goalkeeper and one of the fan’s favorite players Jonathan Matijas is hopeful of resigning for the club and helping to take the team into the Thai Premier League in the coming 2013 season.
Jonathan was part of the 20111/12 team but signed for Songkhla FC after he terminated his contract at the end of the season. His contract with Songkhla finished at the end of last season.
Jonathan spoke to Phuketindex.com and told us “I have been in contact with the Phuket FC President by email and he has talked on the phone to my agent a few times. We have both told him I would really love to come back to Phuket FC. I have been approached by a number of teams, but if Phuket is prepared to give us an offer before the end of the month we won’t consider the others teams. I really want to be able to bring Phuket FC into the Thai Premier League!”
He added “I want to return to Phuket, I love the people there and I have never felt as good in my life as when I was in Phuket. I love the club’s supporters and all of my friends are there. I want to play in TPL with Phuket FC and want to help to make this team one of the best in Thailand!”
