Late goal sees Phuket FC take 3 points

Late goal sees Phuket FC take 3 pointsPhuket FC fans thought last night’s game against Khon Kaen was going finish as a chanceless and dull 0-0 draw but were delighted when Brazilian striker Luiz “Dudu” Eduardo found the back of the net late into injury time giving the team a 1-0 victory, and another much needed 3 points in their mission to reach the Thai Premier League.

Before the Football Yamaha League 1 game, played at Surakul Stadium, “The Islanders” were placed 5th in the league table with 12 point from 6 games; whilst the visitors, the T-Rex of Khon Kaen FC, were placed at 15th with only 5 points from 6 games.

What should really have a stroll in the park for promotion chasing Phuket FC saw them with not even a chance at goal in the normal 90 minutes of play, and the disappointment for the lack of any real teamwork in the middle of the pitch was clear from many of the fans.

And it was late into injury time when “Dudu’ caught the Khon Kean defense napping and slotted the ball past their keeper.

We can only hope that Phuket FC’s future performances are as good as “Dudu’s” goal celebration because yesterday’s performance certainly wasn’t.

Man of the Match went to Phuket FC legend Nenebi who was once again faultless throughout the game.

Phuket FC now stand 3rd in the league table on 15 pints, below PTT Rayong (15 points  & +6 GD) and BBCU FC (15 points & 5 GD).
