PPAO allocated a budget from its 2013 fiscal year budget to support activities of the Association in their endeavors to develop potential of the province’s young sportsmen and women so that they excel in their chosen filed and future professions. We also received funding from the Phuket National Sports Center. The total fund of 748,000 baht will be used toward travelling cost for the team.”
Mr. Paiboon said: “The success of Phuket sports depend on participation by all, and the sportspeople have trained hard to reach today’s point. Good sportspersons are disciplined, heed coaches’ advice, are always careful, and never forget themselves. They must train and be alert at all times. Young sportspersons here are lucky to have a chance to represent their province and to compete at a national level such as this one. To be successful in lives, they also have to show gratitude to their parents and their coaches. People who show gratitude will always be successful.”
He continued: “I would like to thank all the coaches who make it possible for these youths to have what they have today. I also thank all concerned including Mr. Wirat Pathi, Director of Phuket National Sports Center, the committee of Phuket Sports Association, and all committee members of every association. A special thank goes to PPAO Council Members who, realizing the importance of sports, have this year allocated 10 million baht towards the development of excellence of our sportspeople. You can see that PPAO has made available many green areas on which our communities can exercise and keep fit. We have just built a football pitch in Surin Beach. Next year, we will build a futsal field in Phuket province. The sports area in Amphoe Kathu is scheduled to be ready in December. Additionally, we have planned to build an exercise area in Kok Chana Phama, Amphoe Talang and in the area near Wat Chalong reservoir, Tambon Chalong which will see an exercise area comprising of both running and bicycle tracks. We at PPAO aim to supply each Tambon with one exercise park.”
