The official flagship venue of the Chandon Summer Limited Edition, XANA with Attica, has joined hands with Diageo Moet Hennessey (Thailand) Limited to launch the “Chandon Summer Limited Edition 2014” in Phuket. The exclusive launch party in nautical classy theme will take place on Saturday 23 August, 2014. The event begins at 8 PM and will extend well into the night with DJ sets and surprise performances.
Portraying the fun and freshness associated with summer time, the launch party at XANA Beach Club will feature a special showcase of the Chandon Summer Limited Edition bottle. “The bottle specially retains a luxurious and sophisticated feel with a playful twist in line with the brand’s concept. The global nautical theme trend is added to make the bottle trendier and more exclusive. The white and navy blue stripes and the red and white nylon rope around the bottle are reminders of sun, sand, sea, sailing and sailors – perfect for summer time.” said Monrudee Yudhanaraweesak, Chandon and Wine Brand Manager at Diageo Moet Hennessy Thailand.
The evening will start off with complimentary tapas and Chandon sparkling wine in a relaxed and fun setting. Later that night, XANA will transform into a hip and happening place, when DJs raise the tempo and the beat of the music calls out to the party crowd.
“XANA’s offers some very unique features, including a 35 meter infinity pool with swim-up bar, delicious food and cocktail menu, and various exclusive areas including a private roof-top deck and VIP cabanas. I believe these features combined with our relaxed beachfront setting and seamless day-into night atmosphere fit perfectly with the stylish concept of the Chandon Summer Limited Edition. We are very proud to be the chosen Phuket flagship venue and the launch party” said, Philipp Seipelt, Director of Operations of XANA Beach Club.
“We are confident that the limited edition of Chandon will be a must have at every party. Nothing sounds better than the sound of the Chandon sparkling wine being popped. It gives a feeling of fun and freshness, perfect for every occasion and activity, whether it is a picnic by the sea or a party with friends. Those memories will be cherished for a very long time,” Monrudee Yudhanaraweesak adds.
Sweet and sour with a touch of spice, enjoy the intricate flavours of the King Cobra, the new signature cocktail of Phuket’s most stylish beach club, XANA. Located at Angsana Laguna Phuket, unwind on a pool lounger, delight in savoury tapas and sway to the cool DJ beats with a refreshing cocktail in hand.
Combining the sweetness of mango, a zest of lime, rum, vodka and a twist of chilli, the King Cobra has a definite kick, sealing its provenance from Thailand. This delicious cocktail was conceptualised with the former Lanna Kingdom’s Chiang Mai in mind, with the fangs of a cobra. Ian Lonnqyist, XANA Beach Club’s Manager, explains its popularity with guests: “There is a big emphasis on balancing the sweetness of the fresh mango against the spiciness of the chilli”. Together with other signature cocktails, it aims to bring out great flavours of the fresh fruits and spices that are integral to Thai culture.
In addition to awesome cocktails, the evening menu at XANA Beach Club features freshly made dishes such as ‘Summer Salad with Sparkling Wine Crab Tempura’, ‘Phuket Asian Paella’, ‘Alaskan King Crab Tacos’ and ‘Grilled Salmon with home-made smoked salmon Ravioli’, accompanied by a fine selection of wines from across the globe.
The King Cobra Recipe

Mix the chilli, kaffir lime and mango puree together before adding the Vodka and Malibu. Shake the ingredients with plenty of ice, then fine strain into a martini glass. Rim the martini glass with a chilli for an extra fiery bite. Garnish the glass with a Kaffir Lime leaf for a lovely finish.
For those keen to try the cocktail first hand, book The Ultimate Beach Getaway at Angsana Laguna Phuket with a minimum stay of two nights and enjoy refreshing cocktails, a sunset dinner and the amazing DJ beats at XANA, Phuket’s most stylish beach club. Bookings open from now till 30 October 2014.
