Sofitel Krabi Hosts Brunch Family Day with Jumping Castle, Frozen Show, and Special Room Promotion

July 2018 – Bring your whole clan and enjoy a fun-filled time at the Sofitel Family Day on 12 August 2018, which features a wide range of activities and performances that the whole family can take part in.

A Unique FIFA World Cup 2018 Viewing Experience at Sofitel Krabi

Sofitel Krabi organises Planet21, eco-friendly programme for local community

May 2018, Krabi – On May 19, Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort hosted an environmental event for children from the nearby Laempong and Koh Kwang villages, in conjunction with the AccorHotels Planet 21 programme and the Shark Guardian charity.

It was the first time the resort opens their doors to welcome local children to experience the largest hotel swimming pool in Thailand.


The day commenced with a welcome speech by General Manager Mr.Courtois Bertrand, Director of Sports and Recreation Mr.Mobeen Akhalwaya, Shark Guardian project owner Mr.Brendon Sing, Chief Executive of the SAO Mr. Sukgai Janorn and Senior Deputy District Chief of Krabi Mr.Sawaitchut Suwannarat. The children were then invited to participate in a beach-cleaning activity on the hotel’s beachfront. They created ornaments out of recycled paper and learned more about the shark conservation project from Brendon.

Afterwards, the children were invited to enjoy lunch at Maya restaurant and a relaxing session by the pool. The day ended with an energetic trampoline and jumping castle activity at the Sofitel Garden, with sweet treats and soft drinks provided.

The goal of the day was to connect with the residents of the region, as one of the key priorities of the AccorHotels Planet 21 Programme is to work with local communities. By engaging with the local children from the nearby Krabi villages, Sofitel Krabi hope to facilitate stronger relationships with the inhabitants of the area.

Thai Cooking Class with Indian celebrity chef is a delicious success at Sofitel Krabi

March 2018, Krabi – Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort hosted an exciting 70pax Thai cooking class, with participants from companies around the world. Led by the resort’s celebrity Indian chef Rahul Negi, participants watched as he made Pad Thai, Tom Yam Kung (Spicy Soup with Prawn), Spring Roll, Chicken with Cashew nuts, and Mango Sticky Rice. Afterwards, they made their own versions as part of a team-cooking competition. Everyone had a great time, and got to enjoy some authentic Thai cuisine.
