16 November 2009 – Thai AirAsia together with Siam Ocean World, yesterday organised a “Brown-Banded Catshark Release”. An event took place at Panwa Cape, Phuket by the the support of Phuket Marine Biological Center (PMBC). Two Thai stars, Chatayodom Hiranyatsathiti (Chai) and Cherman Boonyasak (Ploy) were special guest that could draw many attention from the press.

Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia said 5 three year-old Brown-Banded Catshark were released back into the sea. The event is the beginning for people to create conscious awareness about peace and the environment just like Thai AirAsia who started with only 2 airplanes providing service from Bangkok to Chaing Mai and to Phuket.

Thai AirAsia is now most welcome by the passengers who seeking for an acceptional low-cost airline.

November 15th is also a special occasion for passengers since Thai AirAsia decided to make Phuket its second hub launching total 8 routes direct flight daily from Phuket to Bangkok, Chiangmai, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta and Medan.

4 November 2009 – Acting Chief of Phuket’s regional Blood Centre Pornthip Rattajak reveled that the centre will organise two main activities in this month.

One will be a blood donation in tribute to HRH Princess Petcharat Rajasuda Sirisophanavadee’s 84th Birthday Aniversary on November 24th, 2009.

Another will be a collaboration between Phuket Red Cross, Siam Commercial Bank and Phuket Blood Centre calling for people to donate blood to mark the 81st birthday of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej and to to stock up the National Blood Bank for the population in all the six Andaman Sea provinces.

A street procession to promote the campaign will be held on November 7 at 9.00-12.00.

Those who would like to make donations may visit Blood Centre on Ratanakosin 200 Pee Rd.,at Saphan Hin (near the Land Transport Office) throughout this month.

Friday, 7th August 2009 – The campaign “Keep Nai Yang Beach Clean” was the collaboration between Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Phuket Marine Biological Centre (PBMBC) and Phuket Public Health Office (PPHO).

This campaign is aim for tourism around Nai Yang beach because cleanliness is a key for being an attractive destination and we will continue this campaign every month,” The Vice President Aor Bor Tor Sakoo, Khun Pramote Jongsuk on the stage giving the speech regarding to “Keep Nai Yang Beach Clean”.

“For keeping sustainable development in balance of environment is very important for getting travelers back and creating better scenery,” PR Manager Indigo Pearl said.

As everyone had spoken in the same way with this social responsibility activity “We are proudly  to be a part of these people who really care for their own beach, as a staff of Indigo Pearl resort who has taken benefits from natural resources – it is time to give it back,” Mr.Somsak said.

The beach cleaning campaign on Nai Yang Beach and National Park will be continued every months for preservation and maintenance.

ML Resort Patong & SFX teamed up for kids

Millennium Resort Patong Phuket & SF Cinema City Jungceylon recently hosted movie and outing trip with orphanage from Sussex House which is supported by New Life Foundation.

This event is under the “Wishes to Share Project” aimed to encourage foundations and charity organizations to continue helping underprivileged people in Phuket and Thailand.
