The president of the International Olympic Committee announced on Thursday that women’s boxing will be included in the coming 2012 Olympic.

During 2-day IOC Executive Board Meeting in Berlin, the decision came out, but golf and rugby are postponed for inclusion in the 2016 Olympic Games.

IOC President, Jacques Rogge told reporters that it’s a great decision to include women’s boxing. The sport of women’s boxing has progressed a lot, a tremendous amount, in the last five years and it was about time to include them in Olympic Games.

Women will compete in the flyweight 48-51kg class, lightweight 56-60kg and middleweight 69-75kg, the agency said.

After the committee cut baseball and softball out of the Games in 2012, the IOC starts to add more new sports from baseball, softball, squash, karate, roller sports, golf, and rugby. But lastly golf and rugby were listed.

Tiger Woods has repeated his criticism of chief referee John Paramor for warning him and playing partner Padraig Harrington for slow play in the final round at Firestone.

In the closing stages Paramor enforced slow play rules on Woods and Harrington. Then Harrington, who led Woods by a shot playing the 16th, appeared rushed after the warning and ended up making a triple bogey eight on the hole to end his chances, offering Woods the win.

Woods said: “It influenced the outcome. That’s not how you want the tournament to end.”

Agency reports, unconfirmed report by the PGA Tour, suggested the world number one had been fined for his comments, but Woods also denied he had been fined by the Tour for his criticisms.

The 7th time F1champion Michael Schumacher, who retired at the end of 2006, has abandoned his comeback with Ferrari because of neck and head injury in motorcycling accident early this year.

The 40-year-old German superstar was due to replace the injured Felipe Massa at the European Grand Prix in Valencia on August 23. But he announced on his personal website that this plan has been canceled.

“Unfortunately we did not manage to get a grip on the pain in the neck which occurred after the private F1-day in Mugello,” Schumacher told his website.

“I only have to admit that my neck pinches a bit. We have to get a grip on that as health has priority — that’s the clear arrangement made with Ferrari and, by the way, with my wife, too,” added him.

Schumi started a two-day test session on Tuesday at the Italian circuit of Mugello ahead of his return. He was set to drive the 2007 Ferrari because of a ban on testing of the current car during the F1 season.

Italy’s sport newspaper Gazzetto dello Sport says that Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer will replace Massa in Valencia on August 23.

Now Schumacher has worked as a special adviser to Ferrari since his retirement in 2006, after winning five championships during his time with the team.

We don’t know when will he come back as F1driver, but as we all know, he’s a legend-as always.
