Retired teacher cycling for the King visits PhuketOn 20th August 2013 at Phuket Provincial Hall, Phuket Governor – Maitree Intusut welcomed Khun Manit Intarit – a retired teacher who cycled from Pattani to Bangkok for His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Khun Manit said “I’m a civil servants pensioner who intends to partake in various cycling trips throughout the country, to bless to His Majesty King. I departed from Pattani on 12th August 2013 (HM the Queen’s Birthday) and aim to finish at Bangkok on 5th December 2013 (HM The King’s Birthday).”

“In addition to cycling in Thailand, I will also visit neighboring ASEAN countries – Malaysia Singapore, Laos and Vietnam at my own expense because I need to show my respect for the greatest King” he added.
