Phuket’s underprivileged children tee off

Adventure Mini Golf, Bang Tao, opened their fairways to the underprivileged children of Kamala, yesterday.

Twelve children aged 11 and 12 from Kamala School, shot a free round of mini golf yesterday, just for the fun of it.

The children are part of Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation’s Coconut Club.  Coconut Club offers after school and weekend activities to the 130 children who live at Rachaprachnukroh School, Kamala.

Tournament champion was Beam, aged 12.  She has never played golf before and shot a 49 over the full 18 holes.  Over time, Adventure Mini Golf wants all the students of Coconut Club to have the experience of playing mini golf.

Phuket Has Been Good To Us is a Thai registered charity which teaches free English classes to every student at 2 schools in Kamala and Kalim.  The Foundation receives no government funding, so it relies on fundraising events to continue its vital work.
