Thai traditional doctors are organizing a Thai Traditional Medicine Fair Project and will invite all regions, including Phuket, who will represent the South of Thailand, to present their products in order to become a hub of applied Thai traditional medicine and Asian alternative medicine.
Dr. Tawatchai Kamoltham, the Director-General of Department for Development of Thai Traditional Medicine and Alternative Medicine, Ministry of Public Health, said Department for Development of Thai Traditional Medicine and Alternative Medicine and central and regional network are organizing the 2014 Thai Traditional Medicine Fair to prepare for 2014 National Herb Fair in early June.
Phuket will take its turn at organizing the event from 23-27 April at Jungceylon, off Patong Beach, in praise of HM the King.
Phuket will present will demonstrate the art of the foot massage with cowrie from Phang Nga. There will be a Bee massage display from Chumphon as well as coconut shell massage from Yala.
The event aims to enhance knowledge to the Chinese and Russian tourists as Phuket become a connecting bridge to foreign countries as a trading and distribution center of Thai herbal products to the world.
