Phuket readies for 15th Old Town Festival

Phuket readies for 15th Old Town FestivalFrom 7th – 9th February 2014, Thalang Rd., Thepkasattri Rd., Phangnga Rd, Soi Rommanee and 72nd Anniversary of Queen Sirikit Chalearmprakiet park will be bustling with tourists and locals as it hosts the 15th Annual Phuket Old Town Festival (Chinese New Year).

The festival will feature processions, cultural performances, Rot tae rak (retro cars) exhibition, local food and products fair, cultural shows from the People’s Republic of China, and the homage paying to gods and goddesses on the night of 7th February at the Great Ocean Dragon plaza (Hai Leng Ong).

Performances on each of the three days usually start at around 5pm and go on until late in the night. It is advisable to get there early as the roads will be closed and parking near the event is very limited.
