For the island’s house music lovers all roads will be leading south this Saturday night, 25th January 2014, as Phuket’s popular music venue, Vinyl Café, plays host to the legendary American DJ/Producer Bert Bevans.
Bert will be playing at the venue’s regular monthly event Sleazy Disco, and will be joining the Sleazy Disco residents, Q from the island’s Phuket House Mafia & London born but Phuket based Funky MP.
Bert Bevans is the British Honduras born DJ who started out playing “Block Parties” in Hollis, New York – followed by other legendary NYC clubs like: Studio 54, Paradise Garage, Xenon, Electric Circus, Bonds and the Playboy Club. Through a 2 years stop-over in Virgin Islands he made his way to London and ended up as one of the first resident DJ’s of the Ministry of Sound. Bert is still busy as ever and travels all over the world to do guest spots in various clubs.
For those wanting to attend the event it’s advisable to arrive early as events at Vinyl Café are always free. Vinyl Cafe has played host to a number of International DJs including the likes of Goldie, Barry Ashworth and more.
