Tourist Court opens in Phuket

On 24th September 2013 at The Phuket Provincial Court, Supreme Court President - Pairoj Wayupab presided over the opening of the much anticipated Phuket Tourist Court. Also attending the opening were Virat Chinvinitkul – Secretary General of the Courts of Justice and Phuket Governor - Maitree Intusut.   Khun Virat said "This court is aimed at serving those people who are visiting the country on a tourist visa. All conflicts for local and foreign tourists should take their problems to the Phuket provincial court in Muang district where they are promised quick rulings.”  The tourist court in Phuket is the third to open. Pattaya launched its own tourist court on Sept 5 and Suvarnabhumi airport opened a courtroom for foreign plaintiffs on Monday.
