Thailand gets ready for free trade

August 18, 2009 at Royal Phuket City Hotel, Tree Akkaradeja (Phuket Vice Governor) presided over a seminar, “Thailand’s hospitality industry to global market: opportunity or risk?” held by Department of Foreign Trade.

The aim of this meeting is pointed to expand free trade area for hospitality services, open wide gate to Asian economy.

Kejpiroon Kohsuwan, Trade Technical Officer from Department of Foreign Trade, announced that this was a time to give all information about free trade for hospitality services and get ready before pushing 100% into a market.

Of course Thailand can’t achieve a goal if hospitality service industry is week. That’s why Department of Foreign Trade needs to provide information to all traders.

Nowadays Thailand has 3 channels for free trade negotiation; WTO, Asian, and FTA.
