Phuket adds more rescue divers

Phuket adds more rescue divers On 30th October 2014 at the Kulsoldham Phuket Foundation, the Foundation President – Khun Benjawan Tamphanuwat, Lt Col Chatchai Sakdee and Lt Col Panya Chaichana of the Phuket Marine Police attended the closing of a “Diving Search and Rescue” training course to increase the potential of its operations officers. The training course including diving to depths of 30 meters.

Khun Benjawan said “This training was held in order to increase the potential of helping victims in the waters of Phuket, and sometimes it necessary to have specialized personnel in order to assist victims. It is the mission of the foundation to continue to rescue victims and those injured from accidents, however, it is necessary for their personnel to continue to improve their skills.”

“At present there are 20 Kusoldham Phuket Foundation divers but they want that figure to increase in order to support the Phuket Marine Police in assisting citizens and tourists who may get involved in accidents in the water.”
