Since there are many areas & people in the central and the northeast parts of Thailand affected by floods, several private sectors and local leaders donated essential items at Phuket donation center in Phuket Provincial Hall including the members of Phuket Kamnan and Pooyaibaan Association (Local Leaders) led by Jamroen Lakthan, the local leader of Chalong Sub-district who donated 10,000 baht of cash, Chutikarn Ordinary Partnership donated 20 dozens of drinking water and 10 boxes of instant noodles, Khao Rang Shrine donated 10 bags of rice. Niwit Aroonrat, a Vice Governor of Phuket, represented Phuket to receive the donations.
People who want to donate anything to the flood victims, can bring items to the donation center in front of the new provincial hall every day. Cash donations are also welcome in the account number 805-0-39371-2, the account name ‘Phuket helps flood victims’, Krungthai Bank, Phuket branch.
The first lot of donated items would leave Phuket on October 22nd 2010 at 11.00 a.m. The Governor of Phuket would preside over the releasing ceremony.
