Phuket Provincial Public Relations Office organised democracy camp for youth

August 29, 2009 – Public relations officer Vichit Petchyod said that according to the government policy to move Thailand forward further on political reform, the Government formed a committee to study guidelines for reforming public participation. Therefore Thailand can be developed in a sustainable way and in a way that people needs it to be.

Phuket Provincial of Public Relations organised a youth camp to disseminate information about fundamental rights and duties including political parties and elections so that they can be a volunteer for democracy in school.

Held on Saturday, 29 Aug, 2009 at Phuket Merlin Hotel, There are 60 people of pillar youth from several schools in Phuket took part in. The camp’s activities include a speech “Youth and Political Participation” by Mrs Anchalee Vanich Tephabutra, a speech “Youth with Promotion of Democracy and Free and Fair Election” by Office of the Election Commission Phuket Head, along with a sharing and exchanging.
