Phuket Governor asks local residents to be unified

On February 26th, 2010, the judgment day of Thaksin Shinawatra’s case, many people were curious to hear if the 76 billion baht assets of the ex Prime Minister of Thailand would be confiscated. Wichai Praisa-ngob, the Governor of Phuket, commented about the situation saying that Phuket residents can take any side, as “Phuket is Phuket”. But he also asked Phuket residents to be unified and do nothing to affect the good image of Phuket tourism.
