Phuket announced 6 villages to be Role Model for sufficiency economy

Aug 21, 2009 – Phuket Deputy Governor Tree Akaradecha in a meeting to evaluate the Role Model village for sufficiency economy with Somsak Songnui Chief of Community Development Provincial Office Phuket and related officers.

Ministry of Interior asked Community Development Department to categorize villages into three level by the sufficiency-oriented criteria. According to Community Development Provincial Office Phuket’s evaluation, 23  villages all over Phuket are considered to be a sufficiency-oriented village in which 6 villages were selected as a role model for the district. Those are; Moo 6 Baan Nakok (Chalong Sub-district, Moo 6 Baan Borae (Vichit Sub-district), Moo 4 Baan Bangkontee (Rawai Sub-district) for Muang District as well as Moo 3 Baan Bangrong (Paklok Sub-district), Moo 2 Baan Kanaen (Tepkrasattri Sub-district) for Thalang District and Moo2 Baan Nanua (Kamala Sub-district) for Kathu District.
