Patong people complained against Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority

11 November 2009 – In the morning of November 9th, Bang-orn Inpaeng, a representative of villagers residing in Nanai Road, Patong, Kathu, gave a complaint call to Phuket Governor’s office against Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority who stop supplying water to Nanai for 3 consecutive days.

Stop supplying water without advance notice has made villagers and businesses numb since entrepreneurs cannot afford water supply from private sector that cost 700 baht/trip.

Some SME entrepreneurs called officials for clarification and has been notified that it is because the pipe was broken. So no water for daytime but at 1am for example caused many people in trouble. However, water began to run again as normal about 4.30pm that day.
