‘SEAEX THAMAL’ 2010 Thai – Malaysia Navies exercise together in Phuket

The Royal Thai Navy and Malaysian Navy held marine maneuver exercises called ‘SEAEX THAMAL’ during May 17th – 21st 2010. The maneuvers took place in the sea between Satun province of Thailand and Perlis state in Malaysia plus Narathiwas province of Thailand and Kalantan state of Malaysia.

The ‘SEAEX THAMAL’ was first held in 1971 and this is the 49th ‘SEAEX THAMAL’ co-maneuvers. This year the grand opening of the maneuver was held in Langkawi Island of Malaysia on May 18th 2010. The closing ceremony was due to be held at the Third Naval Area in Cape Panwa, Phuket on May 21st, 2010.
