Thanyapura will be hosting a 2-day workshop that explores the innovative and versatile uses of the yoga wheel. Yoga wheels are an effective tool that help to the maintain safe alignment of the body in a way that supports it. The practice enables individuals of all abilities to be able to access postures that may have been previously challenging due to physical limitations. Yoga wheels can help to perfect more challenging poses safely, prevent injuries, reduce aches and pains, and further improve flexibility. The first session will focus on restorative yoga, and the second session will explore a more lively flow that stretches, strengthens and builds stability.
The workshop will take place over the course of 5 hours from 9-10 March 2019. This extended yoga wheel introduction costs 5,000THB and includes a vegan lunch buffet on the first day, and a healthy protein shake on the second. Each participant will also receive their own yoga wheel.

The workshop will be led by Darren Chen, who is a certified Dharma yoga wheel trainer. His approach focuses on the essence of yoga exploration, and includes 3 levels: foundation (fundamental postures that link movement to breath), modification (making the poses easier or more difficult depending on the individual), and integration (combining the learned routines with personal practice).
