Phuket, Thailand, 22 August, 2017 – Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach, recently undertook a CSR activity aimed at teaching culinary skills to local children.
The hotel’s kitchen team traveled to Yaowawit School in Phuket to help young students learn basic cooking skills, such as handling kitchen equipment and creating simple recipes. The goal of this project was to build the children’s culinary confidence and help them learn new skills that will benefit their lives in the future.
It also provided an introduction to a possible future culinary career, helping to sustain demand for hospitality professionals in Phuket and Thailand’s southern provinces in the coming years.
This CSR initiative forms part of Marriott’s core brand values, which sees every hotel “Give Back to the Community”.
