A New Dimension of Beyond-Classroom Education Aiming to Shape Future Leaders
PHUKET, 22 June 2026 – Oak Meadow International School (OMIS) Phuket has officially announced the launch of its groundbreaking project, “OMIS Learning Center 2026.” Guided by the vision “Learning Beyond Classrooms, Growing Boundlessly into the Future,” the initiative spotlights holistic education, innovation, and future-forward learning. It aims to empower students to achieve academic excellence while cultivating essential life skills and creativity through hands-on experiences.
The OMIS Learning Center comprises 8 specialized learning centers and academies, meticulously designed to cater to students’ diverse needs, interests, and future aspirations:
OMIS Football Academy – A dedicated facility for football skill development.
- Junior & Master Bakers Academy – A baking and pastry academy for young enthusiasts and specialists.
- Scuba Diving Academy – A certified scuba diving training center.
- Wellbeing & Meditation Center – A sanctuary dedicated to promoting wellness and mindfulness.
- Art & Creative Studio – A creative space for visual arts and design.
- Dance Academy – A specialized academy for the art of dance.
- Languages Center – A language development hub, featuring the newly inaugurated French Center.
- Greenhouse & Sustainability Center – An environmental and sustainability learning center.
The grand opening ceremony was honorably presided over by Ms. Panna Promwichian, Phuket Provincial Education Officer, who delivered the official opening address.
Joining the ceremony were the executive management team of OMIS Learning Center, including Ms. Helen Liu, Mr. Lichun Yang, Ms. Sasikarn Keeratiwithayayut, Ms. Rachaya Sitthisin, and Ms. Prapaporn Jitmaneepun.
A major highlight of the event was the official opening of the new “French Center,” a cornerstone of the school’s language education ecosystem. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was graced by Mr. Jean-Pierre Dousse, Honorary Consul of France in Phuket. To mark this special milestone, Miss Vanessa Chomjampee, a Year 5A student, delivered a captivating ‘Solo Ballet’ performance, beautifully showcasing the performing arts caliber fostered within the project.
The Management of OMIS Learning Center shared that this initiative stems from a deep commitment to expanding learning horizons beyond traditional boundaries. By collaborating with industry experts, educational institutions, and community networks, the center prepares students for life and career success in a rapidly changing global society. The ultimate goal is for the OMIS Learning Center to play a pivotal role in shaping well-rounded, confident, compassionate, and creative future leaders who are ready to excel on the global stage.
