JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa in collaboration with IUCN The Quarterly Mangrove Restoration Activity 2018

Phuket, Thailand – 13 December 2018: JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa team along with 110 Southern Marriott associates in collaboration with International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) and Department of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation joined forces for its quarterly mangrove restoration activity which took place at the pristine mangrove forest in Baan Tab Pla, Thai Mueang, Phang Nga Province, and planted 3,000 mangrove saplings together this morning. As part of our Marriott’s “Serve 360: Doing Good In Every Direction – global commitment to sustainability and social impact strategy. Since 2013 to present, we planted over 82,500 mangrove saplings in 6 strategic habitat conservation and mangrove restoration sites in Thailand which located in Phuket, Phang Nga, Rayong, Samut Sakorn, Hua Hin and Samui. We continue to support our local communities through mangrove reforestation.

We planted 3,000 mangrove seedling at Baan Tab Pla, Thai Mueang, Phang Nga Province this morning.
