KARON BEACH, THAILAND – In celebration of Hilton’s annual Global Month of Service, Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa executed three special events focusing on providing youth opportunity for Children of Phuket. The events were held at three different schools for children with special educational needs and disabilities, 36th Rajaprajankroh, Phuket Special Education Center and Phuket Punyanukul School.
On 28 September, Hilton Phuket Team visit 36th Rajaprajanukroh School, one of the many schools belonging to His Majesty King Bhumibol Aduyadej trust to provide free education for children across the Island. The visit aimed to inspire and empower the students; to let them know that there is future opportunity within the ever – growing hospitality industry. The resort’s General Manager – Markus Kaliss, Executive Sous Chef, and Guest Relations Manager also held an inspirational talk aiming to increase the students’ awareness of their career opportunities.
On 2nd November, Markus Kaliss – General Manager led his team to Phuket Special Education Center to offer a Certificate of Commitment attesting Hilton Phuket’s promise to support the foundation in building Hydroponic garden. The center focuses on providing social support and development of basic skills for children with special needs. Currently, there are 50 children with more than 8 types of disabilities at the foundation.
On 04th November, School Directors, teachers and two students from Phuket Punyanukul School visited Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa. Phuket Punyanukul School is a free Institution for Children with various learning disabilities. Prior the visit, Hilton Phuket Management team toured the School to personally meet, greet and select two students with high potential and interests to work at the property. A certificate was provided to the school by Markus Kaliss – General Manager, committing to provide employment opportunity to students graduating from this school.
