Thousands Celebrated National Children’s Day at Laguna Phuket

On Saturday, 10 January 2015, Laguna Resorts & Hotels (PLC) hosted Laguna Phuket’s 23rd Annual National Children’s Day at Laguna Grove. This year with the first-ever “Laguna Phuket Kid’s Got Talent” competition, attended by over 30 contestants, aged 5-12, from 13 teams.

The free-entry event’s gate opened at 4pm, followed by a series of fun activities and entertainments for children and parents. The event came to its first highlight when the winner of “Laguna Phuket Kid’s Got Talent” was announced, followed by “Choy Sam Na” a Thai traditional comedy and folk songs show and fun stage games and quiz. The celebration concluded at around 8pm with a mini concert by famous Thai pop band “ETC.”

More than 7,000 community members and tourists, a combination of children and adults, enjoyed various activities and game booths as Laguna Phuket aimed to encourage and inspire children to become active, informed and concerned citizens of the next generation, and to help them recognize the importance of their role in the society.

Thailand National Children’s Day takes place every year on the 2nd Saturday of January. It is the day dedicated for children to have fun and spend some quality time with their family.
