Phuket, Thailand 2016 – Angsana Laguna Phuket recently had the benefit of an impromptu appearance in the kitchen by Australian celebrity chef, Sean Connolly. Chef Sean was staying with his family at the resort and was invited to be a chef for the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Dinner at the charming Bodega & Grill restaurant on Monday, 19 December 2016.
Sean is widely recognized as one of New Zealand and Australia’s finest Chefs and has received numerous noteworthy accolades, including NZ Cuisine ‘Good Food’ Awards for three consecutive years.
The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Dinner had a festive theme and featured seven main course options, including Sean’s Main Lobster Salad, Tournedos Rossini Truffle Jus, as well as Orgy of Mushrooms Buffalo Ricotta Gnocchi. Each of the main courses was paired with a complementary international wine to provide diners’ palette with a sensational olfactory experience.
Angsana General Manager Brian Connelly said, “it was such an honor for us to have Sean take charge of our kitchen for the night and our guests were very excited to have been present for such a rare and wonderful evening. We’re hoping to tempt him back soon to our tropical paradise by the Andaman Sea.”
