Meteo Dept warns 8 southern provinces of heavy flash flood

25 August 2009 – The Thai Meteorological Department warns 8 southern provinces of heavy rainfalls, high waves, severe winds, and flash flood.

In these months, a southwestern monsoon is attacking across the Andaman Sea and The Gulf of Thailand. Rainfalls, high waves, severe winds, and flash flood are expected in several provinces within the next few days.

The high-risk provinces include Chumphon, Ranong, Surat Thani, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang, Satun, and Phuket.
