The world’s leading German hardware supplier HÄFELE joins force with the internationally-reputed and award-winning team of architects and designers OIA (OFFICE FOR INTERIOR AND ARCHITECTURE) to announce the completion of HÄFELE DESIGN CENTER, the first sustainable and brand new European-infused alfresco lifestyle shopping village in Phuket, Thailand – now completed, in operation and ready for public viewing. The official grand opening date, tentatively October or November 2010, will be announced.
Situated along Chaloem Phrakiat Road in Phuket Town, boosting a vast 16,000 sqm space on 5 levels, covered with a 4,200 sqm massive aerodynamic floating roof over 2-story scattering pavilions and flanked by a gigantic 16m high red cone, HÄFELE DESIGN CENTER is set to breathe fresh air into a naturally atmospheric space with a lush tropical backdrop and offer an entirely new dimension of sweat-free shopping experience.
OIA (general planner, architects & interior designers) in collaboration with DCM (general contractor), COMCON (project management & quantity surveying services), WARNES (structural engineering) and EEC LINCOLNE SCOTT (mechanical & electrical engineering, lighting design) are the world-renowned masterminds behind the actual realization of the new HÄFELE DESIGN CENTER. The design center is not only poised to be spectacular in terms of cutting-edge modern design aesthetics, but also comes fully equipped with outstanding energy efficiency design concept, which is often overlooked yet still an increasingly important factor towards the construction culture in Thailand and the Southeast Asia region.
