Bhumipat Nawanukro, the director of Cape Hotel Collection Group, said that after being open for 20 years, the hotel planned to renovate itself by setting a 3 stage renovation plan.
The new look of the hotel is divided into 3 zones with 10 buildings. In the 1st stage, there were 3 buildings completed. Those buildings have 50 Thai contemporary style rooms which are fully furnished.
Bhumipat said that the 2nd stage of the hotel’s renovation will begin in May. It’s going to be finished in October 2011. Most of the buildings offer 54 junior suites with panoramic views of Panwa Cape.
He mentioned that he hoped hotels in Phuket can take advantage of the protest situation in Bangkok that had had made tourists change direction to Phuket. All hotel managers had worked hard to get people to their hotels and he wished the political situation would not get any worse that it is now.
