The five-star Cape Panwa Hotel is an ideal regatta venue with its established international reputation, private beach and pier, and spectacular sailing grounds right on the hotel’s doorstep, and following their successful inaugural hosting last year, have committed to support Raceweek through to 2015.
A popular venue with sailors and guests, the long-term commitment by Cape Panwa Hotel to be the Title and Host Sponsor of Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek underscores the success of the award-winning regatta and provides a strong platform moving forward.
For this years 10th Anniversary Cape Panwa Hotel Phuket Raceweek entries are rolling in, and of particular note is the growth in charter boats, with Sunsail reporting a number of bookings and many new crews from Australia, New Zealand and USA, to name just a few, having already confirmed their attendance.
Phuket has a good fleet of boats available for charter and Phuket Raceweek offers a unique regatta charter experience combining quality racing in typically good winds and an onshore social scene unmatched. For more details of charter opportunities, visit www.phuketraceweek.com/charters.htm.
There are just a few days left for Early Bird registration: Until this Friday, 14 June, the Boat Entry (including one ticket for all official functions) will cost 10,000THB – a saving of 2,000THB, and the Crew Tickets will cost 3,850THB – a saving of 350THB. To take advantage of these great savings, register now at www.phuketraceweek.com/registration.htm.
The Multihull classes are shaping up in both quality and number, with eight boats confirmed including defending champion DaVinci and defending champion of the Firefly 850 class Voodoo.
There are efforts to reintroduce a Platu class this year, with a number available on the Island for charter – contact us if you would like to know more.
Current entries can be viewed at www.phuketraceweek.com/entries.htm.
