Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation is organising The 2nd Phuket Local Food Festival from 20-24th January, 2010 at Saphan Hin Public Park. Phuket’s Governor Vichai Praisa-ngob and other leaders yesterday evening were at the opening ceremony presided over by MR Suriya Suksakit, Deputy Minister of Culture.

The event features specialties booths and demonstrations, cultural performances, a lady-boy contest etc.
