As part of the Tourist Police’s ‘Thailand Tourist Police Road Show 2013’, Phuket will soon see the introduction of a mobile station. The roadshow has been launched with the aim of boosting tourists’ confidence in their safety and convenience.
Tourist Police Chief Major General Roi Engkapairoj along with the Director General of the Department of Tourism presided over the launch ceremony of the campaign at the Railway Park, Bangkok in yesterday.
The campaign is aimed at ensuring police readiness for security protection at tourist attractions nationwide, especially during the high tourist season at the end of the year. The Tourist Police mobile stations will be equipped with a toilet, sofa bed, kitchen, LCD TV, security surveillance system, office equipment, an iPad and Wi-Fi for searching tourist information.
